I am writing to you today on behalf of the Shenandoah Occupational Therapy Department, as we embark on an ambitious endeavor that holds the promise of transforming the lives of our students and enhancing the quality of healthcare education we provide.

We are thrilled to announce our upcoming Casino Themed Gala, a grand event that has a singular purpose: to raise substantial funds to support International and Global Experiential Learning (GEL) trips for our occupational therapy students. These immersive experiences abroad offer an invaluable opportunity for our students to gain firsthand knowledge of diverse medical systems and cultures.

Understanding various cultures and medical systems is increasingly important in the field of occupational therapy. As healthcare professionals, our students must navigate a globalized world where patients come from diverse backgrounds with unique needs and expectations. By participating in GEL trips, our students develop cross-cultural competencies, learn to adapt their therapeutic approaches, and gain insights into the universal aspects of healthcare while appreciating the nuances that make each culture unique.

These trips are not only educational but also life-enriching experiences that broaden our students' horizons and deepen their commitment to the principles of occupational therapy. They return from these journeys with a profound appreciation for the richness of human diversity and a dedication to providing patient-centered care.

To make the Gala a resounding success and ensure that all proceeds go directly to funding GEL trips, we are seeking substantial financial contributions from generous supporters like you. • Silent Auction Donations: Donations for a silent auction typically consist of a wide range of items, services, or experiences generously contributed by individuals or businesses, with the aim of raising funds for a charitable cause. These items can include anything from art and collectibles to vacation packages and dining experiences, offering bidders the opportunity to acquire valuable and unique items while supporting a meaningful mission. For each basket donated, your company’s logo will be placed in front of the basket. 
• Bronze Sponsor $100: Your company logo/sign will be placed in the registration area. 
• Silver Sponsor $250: Your company’s name/logo will be placed in the registration area and included in all official correspondence. 
• Gold Sponsor $500 : Your company’s name/logo will be placed on a dessert station and included in all official correspondence. Includes tickets for 2 to the event. 
• Platinum Sponsor $1,000: Your company’s name/logo will be placed at the food table  and included in all official correspondence. Option to set-up a booth during the event. Includes tickets for 4 to the event. 
• Casino Event Sponsor $2,500: Your company’s name/logo will be featured on all official correspondence and a sign with your company’s name/logo will be placed at the bar, registration table, and dessert station. Option to set-up a booth during the event.  Includes tickets for 4 to the event.
