Compton Peak Hike offers both a beautiful vista and a unique geological feature. On this 3. 4 mile hike that ascends approximately 760’ you will have the opportunity to see columnar jointing from a basaltic lava flow. We will travel up to the top from the less crowded Jenkins Gap Parking lot. Please remember to bring your own snacks & plenty of water.
