Date: April 18, 2026 at 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM

Location: Sky Meadows State Park, Delaplane, VA

Star gaze with the experts from the Northern Virginia Astronomy Club for a tour of the night sky. Bring your own snacks and drinks to picnic while waiting for dark. Once dark, there will be multiple telescopes and experts on hand to learn from or just lay back and enjoy the stars. We leave at 6:30 pm and return at approximately 10:30 pm. Fee includes park fees and transportation.

Once you register for your trip, you will receive an email from SOAR within 72 hours. If you do not hear from us, please email suoutdoors@su.edu.

If you need to cancel anytime prior to 8 days before trip departure, you can request to receive a full refund. Cancellations requested from 1-7 days prior to trip departure result in the loss of participation fee, no refund will be given. If a student fails to provide notice of cancellation within 48 hours or is a "no show", a $25 penalty will be applied to the student to participate in any future SOAR trips. Cancellation requests can be submitted to suoutdoors@su.edu.
