Location: George Washington National Forest

Start the year off by hiking the #1 SOAR Hike of 2025! This 4.3 mile hike will lead you up to a beautiful rock outcropping with great views of both Virginia and West Virginia. We will leave campus at 1:00 pm and return by 6:00 pm. Bring your own snacks and water. Fee includes transportation and guide.

Once you register for your trip, you will receive an email from SOAR within 72 hours. If you do not hear from us, please email suoutdoors@su.edu.

If you need to cancel anytime prior to 8 days before trip departure, you can request to receive a full refund. Cancellations requested from 1-7 days prior to trip departure result in the loss of participation fee, no refund will be given. If a student fails to provide notice of cancellation within 48 hours or is a "no show", a $25 penalty will be applied to the student to participate in any future SOAR trips.
