Escape to the rugged beauty of West Virginia with a 2-day backpacking adventure! Take in West Virginia's wilderness as you tackle backpacking trails, and camp beneath a blanket of stars. Day one: backpack approximately 6 miles with a climb of 1,164’. Camp by a stream and share stories under the night sky. Day two: complete our loop by hiking out the remaining 3 miles. This journey offers a perfect blend of outdoor exploration and natural wonder. Trip leaves Saturday at 10:00 am and returns Sunday by 3:00 pm. Fee includes 3 meals, camping gear, and transportation.

Once you register for your trip, you will receive an email from SOAR within 72 hours. If you do not hear from us, please email suoutdoors@su.edu.

If you need to cancel anytime prior to 8 days before trip departure, you can request to receive a full refund. Cancellations requested from 1-7 days prior to trip departure result in the loss of participation fee, no refund will be given. If a student fails to provide notice of cancellation within 48 hours or is a "no show", a $25 penalty will be applied to the student to participate in any future SOAR trips. Cancellation requests can be submitted to suoutdoors@su.edu.
