Date: October 6, 2025 at 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Location: Half Moon Mountain, George Washington National Forest

Take in early autumn leaves as we hike up to Half Moon Mountain in the GW & Jefferson Forest. This 6.6 mile hike will summit after climbing 1200’. Pack your lunch to enjoy at the summit before returning to the trailhead. We will leave campus at 9:00 am and return by 4:30 pm. Fee includes transportation and trail guide.

Once you register for your trip, you will receive an email from SOAR within 72 hours. If you do not hear from us, please email suoutdoors@su.edu.

If you need to cancel anytime prior to 8 days before trip departure, you can request to receive a full refund. Cancellations requested from 1-7 days prior to trip departure result in the loss of participation fee, no refund will be given. If a student fails to provide notice of cancellation within 48 hours or is a "no show", a $25 penalty will be applied to the student to participate in any future SOAR trips.
