Location: Old Rag Mountain, Shenandoah National Park

Experienced hikers join us for this famous strenuous 10 mile hike that includes rock scrambles and a 2600’ ascent. After reaching the summit you will be rewarded with a 360 degree view. Leave campus at 9:00 am and return by 7:30 pm. Bring your own lunch to eat at the summit. Fees include transportation, national park fees and hiking pass.

Once you register for your trip, you will receive an email from SOAR within 72 hours. If you do not hear from us, please email suoutdoors@su.edu.

If you need to cancel anytime prior to 8 days before trip departure, you can request to receive a full refund. Cancellations requested from 1-7 days prior to trip departure result in the loss of participation fee, no refund will be given. If a student fails to provide notice of cancellation within 48 hours or is a "no show", a $25 penalty will be applied to the student to participate in any future SOAR trips.
