Date: November 7, 2026 at 3:00 PM through November 8, 2026 at 2:00 PM

Location: Sky Meadows State Park

Star gaze with the experts from the Northern Virginia Astronomy Club for a tour of the night sky. We will start our trip with a hike into our campsite and then enjoy a camp dinner while we wait for the night sky. After star gazing we will head back to our campsites for s'mores. In the morning we will break camp and head out for a morning hike. Feel free to bring your telescope or binoculars for your own exploration. Trip begins at 3:00 pm and ends by 2:00 pm the following day. Fee includes camp fees, camp gear, 2 meals and transportation.

Once you register for your trip, you will receive an email from SOAR within 72 hours. If you do not hear from us, please email suoutdoors@su.edu.

If you need to cancel anytime prior to 8 days before trip departure, you can request to receive a full refund. Cancellations requested from 1-7 days prior to trip departure result in the loss of participation fee, no refund will be given. If a student fails to provide notice of cancellation within 48 hours or is a "no show", a $25 penalty will be applied to the student to participate in any future SOAR trips. Cancellation requests can be submitted to suoutdoors@su.edu.
