Virtual Author Visit: New York Times best-selling and award-winning author Dan Gutman has written more than 190 books for readers from kindergarten through middle school. Dan’s My Weird School series includes 100+ titles and has sold more than 35 million copies globally over the past 20 years. Dan also is the author of the best-selling Genius Files series, the Baseball Card Adventure series, and many more. While growing up, Dan hated to read, but loved sports. That’s one big reason why he writes a lot about sports and aims his books at reluctant readers like himself. His books are perfect for reluctant readers and all kids hungry for funny school stories. During this presentation, Dan will provide a sneak preview of a chapter of the upcoming My Weird School book, show students how to write their own story in nine simple steps, and share his rejection letters to show children they should NEVER GIVE UP. During the last 10 minutes of the session, Dan will answer questions from students. Don't miss this opportunity to ignite a spark of literary enthusiasm in even your most reluctant readers. This session will leave them eager to read Dan's work and possibly inspire them to write their book using Dan's nine simple steps. (1st-4th Grade)

Happy Hour: After the students have left for the day, join other educators for a live virtual conversation with Dan Gutman. Learn the story behind the stories. Q & A time and door prizes will add to the joy! Corresponding Happy Hour with the speaker included with the purchase of the Author Visit.

All Author Visits will be recorded. Recordings will be provided to registrants after event.
