Virtual Author Visit: Unleash your students' inner artist & storyteller with a virtual visit with Caldecott Honoree LeUyen Pham. Join LeUyen, illustrator of The Bear Came Along and more than one hundred other books for children, including the bestselling graphic novel series, Real Friends, and the popular Itty Bitty Kitty Corn picture books. She is also the author/illustrator of several books, including Outside, Inside, The Itchy Book, and Big Sister Little Sister. After participating in an art activity with LeUyen, students will learn that making a mistake while drawing is impossible because every line can become something new and different. They will also be inspired to revisit many of her books, looking for hidden features (“easter eggs”) that expand the stories
Happy Hour: After the students have left for the day, join other educators for a live virtual conversation with LeUyen Pham. Learn the story behind the stories. Q & A time and door prizes will add to the joy! Corresponding Happy Hour with the speaker included with the purchase of the Author Visit.
All Author Visits will be recorded. Recordings will be provided to registrants after event.
