Virtual Author Visit: Kate DiCamillo two-time Newbery Medalist and former National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature will be joined by John Schu the author of This Is a School, This Is a Story, Ruthie Rose’s Big Idea: A Poetry Story, Louder Than Hunger, and The Gift of Story for this author visit. The friendship between Kate DiCamillo and John Schu is built on a shared passion for children's literature, empathy, and the transformative power of storytelling. Bring the magic of storytelling to life by inviting your students to a live virtual event with Kate DiCamillo and John Schu. Kate will be sharing insights into her newest book, Lost Evangeline alongside classics like Because of Winn-Dixie and The Tale of Despereaux. John will share some of his favorite books as well. Happy Hour: After the students have left for the day, join other educators for a live virtual conversation with Kate DiCamillo & Mr. Schu. Learn the story behind the stories.
